GOML dolls and green ear?

Have any of you noticed anything strange happening to your GOML doll's ears? I was looking at my Spring Pearl the other day (now she is packed up and with the movers, so I can't check on this until June)and I noticed that the area of her earlobe that is pierced by her earring seemed a little dark in color (almost greenish-black). I can't remember what Spring Pearl's earrings are supposed to be like..does she have jade as part of her gold earrings or could this be (OH NO, PLEASE SAY IT ISN'T SO!!)the dreaded "green ear" effect of metal jewelry tarnishing onto doll vinyl. Someone please check your doll and let me know what her earrings are supposed to look like! Thank you!

Oh NO! I was hoping that it was just part of the earring (like a jade post or something). This is not good - anyone else reading this post, PLEASE check your dolls and reply back so that we can determine if this is "green ear". I will try to contact AG and see if they have had any problems with this before.

How strange! The post by me, shown here in this thread was posted briefly a few months ago. I say briefly, because it was in response to an ongoing auction, and thus deleted.
Anyway, this green ear thing is very disturbing news! Most of my GOML dolls are packed away still. I just hate that this sort of thing is happening, those are supposed to be quality dolls. Kish dolls are pretty pricey.
I'm going to have to get them out and check them. I was planning to set up a display, I think those dolls are so beautiful.

(I deleted that previous post if anyone is wondering what I'm talking about. It had nothing whatsoever to do with this subject, and I'm really puzzled as to how it just showed up now.???)

OMG! I just noticed that my Spring Pearl has green ears around the ear ring part. What's going on? I wonder if it's the metal rust that's causing this.

I have Neela and Cecile, who have been on display since a week after they hit the $16 price point. No green ears here!

Also mini Addy and mini Josefina are fine. I've had mini Josefina for about a year, and mini Addy is preMattel, so she's got to be at least 6 years old.

I don't know what is going on but this is pretty disturbing. I have others of these dolls packed away and wonder is this only limited to the Spring Pearl of is it all of the GOML's. Help!

Its a problem lots of dolls have. Just do a search on ebay for "green" and doll. Vintage dolls with metal in their joints often turn green when the vinyl/plastic reacts to the metal inside. Dolls that don't have the dreaded "green knee" always command a higher price.
